The nomination for Best Americana Album proves the diversity of his career: at last year’s Grammys, American Classic and collaborative album Willie And The Wheel were up for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album and Best Americana Album respectively. His duet with Norah Jones “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” was nominated for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals, and has reached #11 in his Last.fm chart for the last six months.
Looking at the top of that chart, most popular track “On The Road Again” has 434,912 scrobbles from 155,410 listeners, and won Best Country Song in 1980. Country Music‘s most popular track is “Man With the Blues”, which you can find at free mp3 of the day. It has a relatively small 6,030 scrobbles from 2,978 listeners, but the Americana category is much more niche than his Pop and Country awards. The Grammy board are still taking notice of a living legend who has only become more prolific in the twelve years since his Lifetime Achievement Award.
