Florence + The Machine’s Ceremonial Procession

It’s just one short weekend until the sophomore album from Florence + The Machine is released, and it appears that fans are getting excited. Ceremonials follows 2009′s Lungs, and Florence Welch and co. have come a long way since then.

Today Last.fm Trends looks at her scrobbles past and present, to gauge what Ceremonials may bring.

Currently at #10 in Last.fm’s global Top Artist Charts, this hasn’t always been the case. In the week of Lungs‘ release, “Rabbit Heart (Raise It Up)” was her most popular track, scrobbled by 2,492 listeners over seven days. That track’s now at sixth place in her weekly charts, but counts 12,882 listeners over the past seven days.

The graph above (click to enlarge) shows weekly listeners for the past six months, and it seems that the excitement for a new release is pulling fans back after a mid-summer dip. With Lungs scrobbled 16,163,462 times to date, Ceremonials is one to watch.

Keep an eye on Florence + The Machine at her Last.fm page. Meanwhile, Last.fm Trends brings you the news in scrobbles every weekday.
