Cee Lo Green Heads The Way

Today it is the turn of the category Best R&B Song to get the Last.fm Trends treatment.

The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards is just days away so without further ado, let Last.fm Trends walk you through the nominees.

Nominated this year is Marsha Ambrosius‘ “Far Away”, Cee Lo Green‘s “Fool For You”, Kelly Price‘s “Not My Daddy”, Ledisi‘s “Pieces Of Me” and Charlie Wilson‘s “You Are”.

Looking at the graph below, it appears that the clear front runner in the category is Californian superstar Cee Lo Green. His scrobbles over the last twelve months have been much higher than any of his competitors – peaking at nearly 80,000 weekly scrobbles:

English singer/songwriter Marsha Ambrosius is the only artist to come anywhere near Cee Lo Green’s scrobble successes with a high of nearly 20,000 weekly scrobbles in March (when she released her album Late Nights & Early Mornings). Her nominated track “Far Away” has been scrobbled a total of  67,728 times – perhaps giving her some confidence when going up against the popularity of Cee Lo Green.

Find out all the winners on CBS, February 12th at 8pm. In the meantime, be sure to tune in to GRAMMY radio for an aural guide to the nominees.
